All Church Meeting – From Pastor Trevor

July 10, 2009

Dear Church of All Nations Community,

What a blessing to be counted among this wonderful community. We have had an interesting start with the parsonage basement flooding, phone lines down and some other technical hiccoughs which were finally resolved on Tuesday. Thanks to all who made our first worship experience at CAN such a rich and moving time.

There are some important matters that need your input, to that end I have called a church meeting for Tuesday July 14 at 7pm, I encourage all to attend so that as many voices as possible are included in the decisions that need to be made.
See you on Sunday.

Blessings,
Trevor

New Pastoral Appointment: Last Tuesday District Super-intendent Laurie Haller introduced Trevor McDermont as Church of All Nation’s next pastor. Rev. McDermont says of himself:

“I am honored, delighted and profoundly humbled to have been appointed to serve as your pastor effective July 1, 2009. I grew up in South Africa during the apartheid years and have been in the United States for 10 years. My wife Susan is from the village of Empire in northern Michigan and we have been richly blessed with twins Natalie (Natz) and Cameron (Cam) who will be celebrating their ninth birthdays in August.

Until recently I was employed as a retail store manager until I could ignore the call God placed on my heart no longer. I entered the official candidacy process for ministry in 2007 and completed the requirements to be licensed as a Local Pastor in November, 2008.

Our family is excited and deeply honored to join with your families as together we seek new ways to open hearts, open minds, and open doors for the transformation of our world through the redeeeming love of Jesus.”
